Our Humble Beginnings
The Lihiniya Gems story began in 1983 in a modest spare room within our family home in the historic Galle Dutch Fort—a UNESCO World Heritage site on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Founded by retired schoolteacher Mr. Lahir, our passion for gemstones was inspired by a profound reverence for natural beauty and our island’s rich gemmological heritage.
From these humble beginnings, Lihiniya Gems has grown into one of Sri Lanka’s most trusted fine jewellery houses, building enduring relationships with clients across the globe founded on authenticity, craftsmanship, and transparent service.
